Tim Staton, Pleasanton city administrator, stood before a packed house on Tuesday evening, Oct. 25, as he began the proposed community center meeting.

Staton introduced those who served on the community center committee and proceeded by thanking those in attendance, noting the room was filled to capacity and many left to stand. That situation allowed him an opportunity to remind everyone that the city does not have a venue large enough to hold many people. Staton shared the need for a practical community center that could hold large social, governmental, informational and community-based events.
