Following a packed-room community meeting to listen to information concerning a volunteer-based $300,000 grant to build a new community building on Main Street, word was received last Thursday that Pleasanton will receive the money.

Pleasanton City Administrator Tim Staton said that he heard word, via Susan Galemore with the SEK Regional Planning Commission, that Pleasanton won the grant.
