It wasn’t a ballot chad that slowed the tallying of the 2012 Linn County General Election results, it was an undetermined software glitch that caused all ballots cast in Linn County on Tuesday, Nov. 6 to be held for hand counting on Wed-nesday.

County Clerk David Lamb explained that test ballots had been run through the machine and showed no problem with the count.
