Smith met with the commissioners Monday and said he has been assisted in the employee transition period by Chief Clerk of the 6th Judicial District, Susan Jones. She has a niece who assisted Jones in a drawing of a new office setup, potential materials needed, and a bid list for potential bidders if the county chose to proceed on remodeling – completed for less than $500, or the maximum amount a department head can spend without commissioner approval.
