Seeing Gary Thompson’s name on legal paperwork for the county commissioners is nothing new for Linn County residents, but now locals can associate his name with Linn County Abstract, as he is the new owner of the business.

"We’ve been working this direction for 10 years," said Thompson, describing the sale of his and his wife’s home in Tulsa, Okla. They are now full-time residents of Linn County and have driven their tent stakes deep into the county.
