Reported as of May this year, eastern Kansas is, obviously, no longer in drought conditions. Though we still have had our fair share of weather difficulties, drought has not been one of them, and it appears that this will be a good year for Linn County local farmers.
The scene when driving to-and-fro in Linn County is of wheat harvests and balers baling hay. You may have to slow down while passing very large farming equipment slowly moving down the road. The grass crop is doing so well with the recent rains that it has been said to be a bumper crop harvest.Want to read more? Log into read the online edition here Linn County News
