By DEB CANNON COUGILL Jacob Coulter has been hired as the new program services manager at the Marais des Cygnes Wildlife Area. Coulter comes to Linn County after having served in various capacities in a cooperative effort of the Arkansas Forest Service, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the University of Arkansas. Jacob grew up in McAlester, Okla., where he learned to hunt and fish at a young age. He said, "Coming out of high school, I didn’t know the extent of degree possibilities available that involved doing the things that I enjoyed." Jacob graduated with an associate’s degree in agricultural economics from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Okla., in 2008. After he transferred to Oklahoma State, he became acquainted with many of his classmates who proved to be excellent resources for the job market.
