Last Friday night Karen German entered the Pleasanton gymnasium just as she has done many times in her life. Over the last several years she’s helped with the official scorebook of the basketball games, but for many years prior to that she was coaching the Pleasanton Lady Blu-Jays basketball team that was one of the most successful programs in Kansas. As she entered the gym, she recognized many of her former players who were attending for the Courtwarming festivities that evening. As she made her way over to the scorer’s table between the boys’ and girls’ games, she began diligently checking her official book for accuracy. Meanwhile, everyone else in the gym was anxious with excitement as they all knew what was about to happen.
