While the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary has brought sorrow to our country and left many parents and teachers hugging their children a little bit tighter, it’s nice to see that one local group of students have stepped up to the plate and proven what school spirit is really all about.

On Monday evening, the Prairie View School Board had nothing but praise for the student body, particularly members of the winter Courtwarming royalty and what transpired on Feb. 1 during halftime at the basketball game between Prairie View and Osawatomie.
