On Tuesday, Feb. 19, the City of Parker erected its new welcome sign on the east side of town, across from Parker One-Stop. The sign, which has been a much-anticipated project spearheaded by Mayor Wayne Burk, boasts bragging rights that Parker is the hometown of Governor Sam Brownback, Kansas Senators Caryn Tyson, Robert E Tyson and Kansas Senator and Representative Robert J. Tyson.
