The City of Prescott received a $26,430 grant to pay 80 percent of the cost of repairing the settling damage to the Prescott City Library. The grant was approved Feb. 9 by the Kansas State Historical Society’s Heritage Trust Fund (HTF). Approval of this grant would not have been possible without the many generous donations to the Prescott Heritage Preservation Society that will provide the 20 percent matching funds requirement of $6,608 for the total project cost estimated at $33,038.
