Following development of the new Highway 69 corridor, land was left between the new Hwy. 69 and what is now Tucker Road east of Pleasanton. Those 15.32 acres formerly owned by KDOT are now owned by the group – E-Community, comprised of individuals working toward economic development in Linn County.
E-Community member and Pleasanton City Administrator Tim Staton explained that the land had been for sale to adjoining property owners last year for a reserve price. None of the owners took advantage of the sale and the land was reoffered to the public this year.Want to read more? Log into read the online edition here Linn County News
