Bill Lloyd (originally Lloyd Grosdidier) and wife Elsie bought a 40-acre farm from Emerson Kline many years ago. Land was not all they acquired. An old Packard Orchestral organ was part of the package. The organ has done its share of traveling.
The organ was used in the first two locations of the Oakwood church building. That building served a Methodist congregation at three different locations in Linn County. The building was moved in 1889 to Oakwood, where it was functional for many years.
