There couldn’t be a more important time in our lives to celebrate our constitutional republic. Commemoration of Constitution Week started some years ago by the Daughters of American Revolution (D.A.R.). In 1955, D.A.R. petitioned Congress to set aside Sept. 17-23 annually to be dedicated for the observance of Constitution Week. The resolution was adopted by U.S. Congress and signed into public law on Aug. 2, 1956, by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Celebration of Constitution Week can be through education of events surrounding the creation of the Constitution and the men who framed the document that became the legal foundation of our country.
