Once every five years, beginning in 1988, descendants and relatives of Potawatomi Indians from Indiana, Illinois and states along the way make their sojourn visit to Linn County and surrounding area for their trek following the Trail of Death.
Descendants will begin their fifth annual journey Saturday, Sept. 28 where they will eat lunch and follow the Trail of Death through Miami County, and on to Trading Post where they will dedicate a new Trail of Death marker at 5:30 p.m. and visit the museum. The group of 25 to 30 people will then head to the Longhorn Restaurant to eat supper.Want to read more? Log into read the online edition here Linn County News
