Emergency personnel were dispatched to Kansas Highway 52 and Scott Road last Friday afternoon, Feb. 7, in response to a collision between a Linn County dump truck and a car.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the 2013 Freightliner dump truck driven by county employee Roy Bright was northbound on Scott Rd. Bright stopped at the intersection of K-52 and Scott Rd., did not see the oncoming traffic. He proceeded north through the intersection striking the 1998 Infiniti driven by Mound City resident Steven Nickelson, 58, in the westbound lane of K-52.
